You Can Do It.

At Hope & Home we’re determined to make foster care certification as easy and accessible as possible. You can do it and we’re here to help.

Certify in six steps.

Six Steps to Get Certified

1

Enjoy a Tour of Hope & Home and Meet the Staff

During this initial visit, we will give you a tour of our state-of-the-art facility and help you to determine whether Hope & Home foster care is a good fit for you and your family.

At this point, you’ll be introduced to your Licensing Specialist, a certification expert who will walk you step-by-step through the rest of the licensing process.

2

Fill Out an Application

We do not charge an application fee, nor do we charge for your home study or training. Your only costs are $55 per person for a fingerprinting fee, paid to an outside company. (And any out-of-state background check fees depending on the state.)

3

Complete the Training Process

Hope and Home offers the most thorough and quality training in the entire State of Colorado. Plus, it’s even all available online to complete whenever is most convenient for you! Additionally, the Licensing team will keep you on track with reminders about paperwork you’ll need to complete and turn in. The sooner your paperwork is completed, the sooner you can begin the final step in getting certified.

4

Complete a Home Study

A home study consists of a confidential series of in-depth interviews and assessment of your house conducted by a specially trained expert on our staff. This helps us match you with children who are a good fit for your family.
5

Finish the Licensing Process

Your Licensing Specialist will make sure that everything in your file is complete and correct. You’ll officially become a licensed Hope & Home foster parent!

6

Answer the Phone and Welcome a Child!

It will be Hope & Home calling about a potential child placement for you!

Hope & Home staff will be at your disposal while you make this transition. They’ll help you get settled and make sure you have everything you need as you get acquainted with the children in your home.
